Athlean X Inferno Max Shred works! I am the lightest and most shredded that I have been since I was an athlete. And I train less than when I was an athlete as well.
When I started the program, I was 76.8kg. I managed to shred down to 73.3kg over 12 weeks.

This first picture doesn’t do it justice, so here’s a couple where I’ve flexed and you can see the lean result from a different angle.

The biggest thing that I would say is that I shredded down whilst being more relaxed with my diet compared to when I did the AX1 program. I consumed more starchy carbs (where as I consumed little to none during AX1).
I did consume a few pizzas, cheese, wine, and allowed for some lifestyle indulgences, however they were controlled.
I also managed to reduce my body fat.
When I finished the program, my body fat stats according to the calipers were:
Hip – 10.5%
Chest – 5%
Stomach – 14.9%.
Also, my waist measured at 31 inches. I was at 32 inches before.
I have seen people critiquing the program in some forums. I don’t know the details about structuring the program. But I do know that if you follow the process and maintain a clean diet that allows for a calorie deficit, the program will work.
Things to bear in mind with this program.
- It is for fat loss.
- It isn’t designed to improve or enhance your athletic ability. However, as you become lighter, you will look and feel more athletic.
- The results are impacted by what you consume. I tested doing the program without tracking what I consumed and it didn’t work for me. So I would recommend that you track what you are consuming.
- My results came by working at the 4 alarm level for 70% of the program. If I were to do it again, I would try to do the program at the 5 alarm level.
- Workouts would take about an hour.
It’s a great program for the price. Very straightforward. Follow the program and the results will come.
Good luck in your journey.
